The worldly recognized football team, and a Florida pride, they are an expert professional American football team residing in the Miami metropolitan zone. Renowned for being the oldest professional sports played in Florida, and because of the 1979 AFL-NFL merger, the team participated in the National Football League.

The Miami team has brought pride to the state of Florida having competed in the National Football League as a part of the league’s American Football Conference East division. Home games are played at Hard Rock Stadium, situated in the northern suburb of Miami Gardens, Florida. 

The team initially played all home games in the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. After the 1986 season, they moved to the new Joe Robbie Stadium. From 1993 to 2011, the team imparted the arena to MLB’s Florida Marlins. As of August 2016, the place changed its name to Hard Rock Stadium.

The office is situated in Miami Gardens, a suburb of Miami found roughly 24 km north of downtown Miami. The team shared the Hard Rock Stadium with the NCAA Miami Hurricanes. The 2015–2016 season was the primary season in the recently redesigned Hard Rock Stadium. The football team went through over two years and over $400 million on a significant redesign to Hard Rock Stadium.

The Dolphins played its first Super Bowl, a yearly football championship league, in Super Bowl VI, and lost it, but with a comeback at Season VII, the Dolphins finished the NFL's just flawlessly and making it champions once again in the Super Bowl VIII.

The team opened its own Miami Dolphins Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL in 1996. And the facility was renovated in 2006 to provide a closed-ceiling place for the athletes to practice in.

The team is also the third National Football League team that swept off a regular season.
