The place is a community in southeast Florida, located within Palm Beach County. The total population of the area is at 39,575 in the 2020 census. Despite its name, the community is located roughly fifteen miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean.
The village is situated 11 miles west of West Palm Beach, FL, and 64 miles north of Miami, FL. It consists of land territory of 11.14 square miles, and a water territory of 0.15 square miles; also being a section of the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton Metropolitan Area.
The area is recognized for its numerous parks with its extensive mission to protect green space, as evidenced by the recent award of 190 acres to create a master central park and the improvement of 25 acres preserved into a passive bird watching and nature park.
Also primarily called a bird sanctuary, the village is known as the “Tree City”. Having said so, its area exudes nature’s calmness giving locals and tourists a peaceful and worry-free place to visit.
And as a part of the Florida region, the city has its fair share of pristine beaches that also gives a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean.
Apart from these attractions, the city’s busy and buzzy nightlife also attracts residents to invite more tourists in their place. And adding more flavor to their city’s visit are the designer boutiques, best dining options, and some renowned museums always prepared for a handful of guests.

The public schools inside the village consist of "A" - rated primary and intermediate schools and there are various private schools offering classes from pre-kindergarten through high school.
