Formally called PBI, it is an international airport which is a public air terminal in Palm Beach County, Florida, USA. Along with FLL and MIA, the airport is one of three significant air terminals serving the Miami metropolitan region.
The airport is located west of the city of West Palm Beach. It is the leading air terminal for Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Wellington, and PBG/Jupiter regions. It is accessibly situated to conveniently serve the four surrounding counties, aside from Palm Beach County.
Road admittance to the air terminal is immediate from I-95, Southern Boulevard, and Congress Avenue. It is found 2.5 miles west of downtown West Palm Beach. Boca Raton is around 20 miles south, and Jupiter is just 15 miles north.
